Your hosts, Karen and Brian Festa, welcome you to the Birdhouse Inn B&B. As retired public school teachers we are now realizing our dream of opening our home as a bed and breakfast. We love being in the Green Mountains in the little town of Poultney which has a long and interesting history, all the way back to the founding of the our nation.
“Chef” Brian is a wonderful cook who has many years of restaurant and catering experience. He enjoys surprising our guests with savory egg dishes, tempting pancakes and more from his large repertoire of culinary favorites.
I, Karen, am the “Baker”. I enjoy coming up with healthy variations on old traditional recipes, i.e. scones, muffins, coffee cakes. I use fresh, in season ingredients some of which are grown in our gardens. My goal is to make bakery treats that are good tasting and good for you.
